278 Teams Compete Across Four Regions in Annual Excellence Initiative
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) has announced the regional winners of its Quality Circle Competition 2025, with 16 teams emerging victorious from a field of 278 participating teams across the country.
The competition, which evaluates quality improvement initiatives in the automotive component manufacturing sector, recognized top performers across four regional categories: Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern regions.
Regional Champions Take Top Honors
In the Northern Region, Team Rise from Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd. secured first place, followed by Team DEMING from Rane Madras Ltd in second position, and Team Warrior from Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd. claiming third place.
The Eastern Region saw Team Cheetah from ZF CVCS India Ltd. take the top spot, with Team Winners Club from RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd. in second place, and Team Udaan from Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd. finishing third.
Western Region winners included Team Sakaratmak Soch from TATA Toyo Radiator Ltd. in first position, Team Qualirays from Yazaki India Pvt. Ltd. in second, and Team Pragati from Gabriel India Ltd. rounding out the top three.
In the Southern Region, Team Star Mail from Rane Brake Lining Ltd. claimed first place, followed by Team Gerbera QC from Uno Minda Ltd., Seating Division in second position, and Team Goal Diggers from ZF Rane Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. in third.
Special Recognition for Outstanding Performance
Each region also recognized a "WoW Team" for exceptional performance. These special mentions went to Team Manthan from Subros Ltd. (Northern Region), Team Ambitious from Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd. (Eastern Region), Team Dominators from Marelli Motherson Automotive Lighting India Pvt. Ltd. (Western Region), and Team MEI Team 2 from Madras Engineering Industries Pvt. Ltd. (Southern Region).
The Quality Circle Competition serves as a platform for automotive component manufacturers to showcase their continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving capabilities, and commitment to quality excellence. The regional winners represent diverse segments of the automotive supply chain, from brake components and radiators to wiring systems and transmissions.
The competition highlights the Indian automotive component industry's focus on quality improvement and operational excellence, key factors in maintaining competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
