Royal Enfield Unveils Custom Motorcycles at Japan Show
The century-old motorcycle manufacturer displayed two bespoke builds at Yokohama's prestigious custom show, featuring collaborations with Japanese craftsmen under its global Custom World initiative program.
Royal Enfield presented two custom motorcycles at the 33rd Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2025, one of Japan's premier custom motorcycle exhibitions.
The showcased builds, named VITA and Carolina Reaper, were developed through Royal Enfield's Custom World initiative, which supports custom motorcycle projects globally.
VITA was constructed by Yuichi Yoshizawa and Yoshikazu Ueda of Custom Works Zon, a Shiga Prefecture-based workshop recognized at international custom shows. The build utilizes a Royal Enfield Classic 650 as its foundation, featuring a custom hard-tail steel frame, classical girder fork, and 26-inch wheels. The design incorporates mahogany wood and unpainted aluminum components.
Carolina Reaper was created by Toshiyuki Osawa of Cheetah Custom Cycles, a Tokyo-based builder. Built on the Guerrilla 450 platform, the motorcycle draws inspiration from American flat track racers and race cars from the 1970s, combining vintage aesthetics with contemporary performance elements.
Royal Enfield, established in 1901, maintains manufacturing facilities in India and operates through approximately 2,000 stores domestically and 850 stores across 65 countries. The company's current lineup spans multiple displacement categories, from 350cc to 650cc models.
The Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show serves as a significant platform for custom motorcycle builders in Asia, attracting exhibitors and attendees from across the region annually.
