River Mobility has rolled out its 20,000th Indie electric scooter from its Hoskote manufacturing facility in Karnataka, marking a significant production milestone for the Bengaluru-based company.
The achievement comes just six months after the company crossed the 10,000-unit mark, representing accelerated production driven by increasing demand and an expanding dealer network. River reached this milestone within two years of its launch.
The company has recently expanded its retail presence into several new states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Maharashtra. River launched the Indie Gen 3, the latest version of its flagship scooter model, and opened a company-owned store in Delhi as part of its North India expansion strategy.
"Achieving the 20,000-Indie milestone in just under two years is a clear sign that our customers see value in what we're building, and it reflects the trust our dealer principals have placed in us," said Aravind Mani, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of River Mobility. "As we expand to more cities and scale up production at our factory, we remain committed to improving the experience for every rider."
The company currently operates close to 40 stores and has established a strong presence in South Indian cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Coimbatore. River plans to enter Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat as part of its continued retail expansion.
River's Hoskote facility features production processes designed for scalability, positioning the company to support its near-term retail expansion plans. The manufacturer has announced plans to introduce new products and significantly increase production capacity to meet growing demand from urban riders.
