Porsche India crosses 1,000 sales in 2024, growth up by 10%

Porsche India recorded one-thousand-sales mark for the first time with 1,006 vehicles sold in 2024. This represents a 10% increase over the previous year, driven by the successful introduction of new models such as the Porsche 911, Panamera, and the Cayenne SUV, which debuted in late 2023, the company said.

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, the company also announced plans for expansion, with three new Porsche Centres set to open in Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow by the end of 2025. At the expo, Porsche India premiered the all-new second-generation Macan Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and the updated Taycan sports saloon.

The demand for Porsche’s two-door sports cars, including the 911, 718 Cayman, and Boxster, saw a 95% increase, contributing to 156 units sold. SUVs continued to dominate, accounting for 71% of the total sales volume with 454 Cayennes and 259 Macans delivered in 2024.

The new Macan BEV is available in three variants: Macan (₹1.22 crore), Macan 4S (₹1.39 crore), and Macan Turbo (₹1.69 crore). The updated Taycan is offered in two initial specifications: Taycan 4S (₹1.89 crore) and Taycan Turbo (₹2.53 crore). A two-wheel-drive Taycan with a WLTP range of up to 678 km is expected to join the lineup later.

Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director of Porsche India, attributed the growth to the introduction of new products, enhanced customer experiences, and an expanding dealer network. With new models launched within the past 14 months, Porsche India aims to sustain its positive momentum through 2025 and beyond.

The company’s focus on electrification and expanding market presence aligns with global trends in the luxury automotive industry. Porsche India’s upcoming centres and growing portfolio reflect its intent to cater to a broader customer base while strengthening its position in the Indian market.
