NueGo Expands Electric Intercity Routes Across India

NueGo, an electric intercity transportation brand by GreenCell Mobility, has announced the launch of six new intercity routes in India this festive season. This expansion aims to increase sustainable mass mobility while providing a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

Currently, NueGo operates in over 110 cities across the country. The brand's fleet consists of 100% electric buses, which feature comfortable seating and zero tailpipe emissions. Each bus undergoes 25 safety checks, including mechanical and electrical inspections. The vehicles have a range of over 250 kilometers on a single charge, ensuring a reliable and safe journey for passengers.

The new routes include connections in North India, such as Gurgaon to Dehradun, Noida to Dehradun, and Noida to Chandigarh, enhancing connectivity between the NCR region and neighboring states. In South India, the newly introduced routes connect Coimbatore to Madurai, Bangalore to Mysore, and Bangalore to Vellore, linking significant cultural and economic centers in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Devndra Chawla, CEO & MD of GreenCell Mobility, stated, “We are expanding NueGo’s services across the country. This aligns with our mission to improve intercity travel and improve the overall guest experience. With these new routes, we aim to strengthen connectivity while supporting sustainable travel.”

Recently, NueGo also completed the Kashmir to Kanyakumari (E-K2K) expedition to demonstrate the performance of electric buses in diverse terrains and to highlight the role of public engagement in sustainability.

Since its launch in 2022, NueGo operates over 250 buses with more than 450 daily departures. The brand offers various services, including snacks on board, a superior in-cabin experience, and enhanced safety features. Its trained staff and airport-like lounges in select cities contribute to the travel experience. Additionally, the NueGo app and website provide exclusive offers and discounts for passengers.

NueGo places a strong emphasis on women's safety in intercity travel. It has introduced a dedicated Pink Seat feature for women during ticket booking, alongside a 24/7 helpline for female passengers. The brand also implements advanced security measures, including CCTV surveillance, GPS live tracking, driver breath analyzer tests, and speed restrictions set at 80 km/h.
