Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz Eyes Rs 500 Crore in Revenues from AI-Based Dashcams

Gurugram-headquartered Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz, which has introduced its range of artificial intelligence (AI)–enabled dashcams under the brand “Novus Safe Pro,” is eyeing cumulative sales of Rs 500 crore by 2030, with the company confident of registering robust revenue growth from the sale of its dashcams in the Indian aftermarket.

The indigenously developed video telematics solutions are aimed at B2B applications, primarily in heavy-commercial trucks, inter-state buses, and taxi fleets in India, to enhance driver and road safety, and augment operator business by tapping into real-time data and analyzing it to optimize fleet operations.

The edge-computing devices run the software on the hardware itself and continuously monitor the vehicle cabin as well as the road environment around the vehicle, detecting various potential accident scenarios.

By leveraging edge computing, the system’s on-board algorithm classifies these scenarios into appropriate categories based on prior algorithm training and alerts the driver or the fleet operator to take corrective action to prevent a potential accident.

According to Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz, the algorithm running on the camera can classify events in the right category. The device sounds a local alert for the driver in case there is a potential hazard on the road, such as another vehicle coming too close, or alerts both the driver and fleet operator if driver drowsiness is detected.

By leveraging real-time vehicle data, the company also offers a server-level software application for fleet operators to manage their fleet optimally.

The company has served various B2B customers across the three vehicle segments, with Kolkata-based Snap-E Cabs being its latest high-volume customer in the taxi fleet segment, where it is set to deploy the devices across Snap-E’s entire fleet of 1,200 electric cabs in Kolkata and Delhi-NCR. While Nayara Energy, with 5,000 trucks, and Instant Transport, with 1,000 trucks, are its major customers in the HCV segment, Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz is also deploying these dash cameras in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation’s 200 buses.

Overseas, the company has expanded into the Central and West Africa regions by closing a contract with FMCG giant Nestlé to deploy these devices in 1,100 trucks in Nestlé’s logistics fleet. Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz is also making inroads into the Middle East, Australia, and Indonesia.

The company is betting big on the opportunity presented by these devices, with upcoming regulations in India likely to mandate driver-state monitoring cameras in commercial vehicles from October 2026.

Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz says the in-house-developed and locally manufactured devices are part of its full-stack autonomous driving solutions, aimed at offering affordable, effective, and modular ADAS solutions to automotive OEMs, where it is a key supplier to majors such as DICV and Tata Motors.

With more such connected devices becoming commonplace on the road, the company envisions telematics, under the AIS-140 regulations, eventually moving from pure location-based communication to video-based telematics that offer more refined analytics.

Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz foresees real-time data aiding immediate interventions to enhance vehicle and road safety with advanced technology.
