Hero MotoCorp Unveils Electric Vehicle Portfolio and Performance Motorcycles at EICMA 2025
World's largest two-wheeler manufacturer showcases new electric mobility brand VIDA Novus alongside Euro5+ compliant ICE models.
Hero MotoCorp has announced a comprehensive lineup of electric vehicles and internal combustion engine motorcycles at EICMA 2025 in Milan, marking the company's most significant product showcase as it expands its global footprint.
The Indian manufacturer, which has served over 125 million customers across 52 countries, used the platform to launch its VIDA Novus portfolio—three new electric mobility concepts designed to represent what the company calls "human-centric, intelligent, and sustainable mobility."
The VIDA Novus lineup includes three distinct vehicles: NEX 1, described as a portable and personal mobility device; NEX 2, a compact self-balancing electric trike; and NEX 3, an all-weather personal electric vehicle with four wheels designed for both urban and rural use.
"At Hero MotoCorp, we envision the Future of Mobility at the powerful intersection of technology, sustainability, and human ambition," said Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp.
Hero MotoCorp announced the European launch of the VIDA VX2 urban scooter, which offers a 125 km WMTC range and a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter features twin removable IP67-rated batteries and an IP68-rated PMSM drivetrain.
The company also unveiled two electric motorcycle concepts: the VIDA Concept Ubex, positioned as a "Neo-Naked Urban Explorer," and VIDA Project VxZ, developed in collaboration with Zero Motorcycles USA. The latter represents a partnership between Hero MotoCorp and the California-based electric motorcycle manufacturer.
The VIDA DIRT.E Series was introduced as a new line of electric off-road motorcycles. The DIRT.E K3, an electric motorcycle for children aged 4 to 10 years with three adjustable sizes, has won the Red Dot Design Concept Award 2025. Pre-interest registrations are now open for Europe and India.
The DIRT.E MX7 Racing Concept, a high-performance off-road electric motorcycle, was also showcased, incorporating engineering expertise from Hero's Dakar Rally team.
Hero MotoCorp unveiled two Euro5+ compliant ICE motorcycles: the Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition and the Hunk 440 SX.
The Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition features a liquid-cooled 210cc DOHC engine, rally-grade fully adjustable suspensions with 280mm of travel, and 270mm ground clearance. The launch follows Hero MotoSports Team Rally's 2024 FIM World Title and recent Dakar Rally podium finish.
The Hunk 440 SX, positioned as a modern scrambler, is powered by a 440cc oil-cooled engine with Ride-by-Wire technology, multiple ride modes, and switchable ABS with traction control.
Hero MotoCorp operates eight manufacturing facilities across India, Colombia, and Bangladesh, along with research and development centers in India and Germany. The company maintains strategic alliances with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles, and has invested in EV manufacturers Ather Energy and Euler Motors.
The company is the only Indian two-wheeler manufacturer listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
