HL Klemove inaugurates first Local ADAS Radar Manufacturing Unit in India, marks a significant achievement in “Make in India” initiative

HL Klemove, a leading manufacturer of automotive electronic components based in South Korea, proudly announces the inauguration of its ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistance System) Radar Manufacturing Unit at its Chennai plant.

The inauguration ceremony, held in the esteemed presence of Mr. Vinod Sahay, President and CPO of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Dr. Pal Joo Yoon, CEO of HL Klemove Corporation marks a significant milestone, as HL Klemove becomes the 1stcompany in India to localise the manufacturing of ADAS Radar systems.

HL Klemove is expanding its collaborative efforts in the automotive industry, focusing on the development and implementation of ADAS systems.Among these efforts, the partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. highlights the company's approach to engaging with key industry leaders.

Dr. Pal Joo Yoon, CEO of HL Klemove Corporation, stated, "Our ADAS journey in India started in 2018 with the introduction of India Specific ADAS solution. Our R&D Engineers working in our India Tech Center (ITC) are closely collaborating with Global R&D Center in Korea to continuously enhance this India specific ADAS solution."

"HL Klemove’s Radar localisation at our India plant will significantly boost the ADAS application in India. I strongly believe that this localisation will be a significant achievement by HL Klemove towards Government of India’s “Make in India” Initiative. Our Radar facility in India will have State-of-the-Art capability similar to our Korea production facilities”, he further added. 

Dr. Yoon continued, "Indian road scenarios are highly complex, and we have meticulously factored these unique challenges into our product development process. Our solutions are tailor-made for the Indian market, ensuring optimal performance and safety. With a strong business pipeline in the Indian ADAS market, we are committed to introducing more localised solutions in the coming years such as ADAS Front Camera Modules (FCM).”

In addition to ADAS systems, HL Klemove also supply Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) specially designed for EV’s and other Chassis Electronic components from its Chennai Plant.
