ASK Automotive Ltd, India’s largest manufacturer of brake shoes and advanced braking systems for two-wheelers, reported an 18.6% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹80 crore for the second quarter of FY26 — its highest-ever quarterly profit. Revenue rose 8.5% YoY to ₹1,059 crore, driven by strong growth in its advanced braking systems and aluminium lightweighting businesses.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹142 crore, up 19.5% YoY, with margins improving 124 basis points to 13.4%. The company noted that without the impact of higher aluminium alloy prices, margins would have been 13.7%. Earnings per share increased to ₹4.05, up 18.6% YoY.
Revenue from the Advanced Braking Systems segment rose 10%, Aluminium Light Weighting Precision Solutions grew 22%, and Safety Control Cables increased 2% on a year-on-year basis. Exports stood at ₹30 crore compared with ₹41 crore a year ago.
ASK said improved capacity utilisation at its Karoli and Bengaluru plants and a strategic reduction in the low value-added Wheel Assembly business (down 53.6%) helped lift margins.
For the first half of FY26, the company reported revenue of ₹1,954 crore, up 6.1% YoY, while EBITDA rose 19.4% to ₹265 crore and PAT increased 17.5% to ₹146 crore. The company achieved an H1 EBITDA margin of 13.6%, a gain of 151 bps from last year.
Commenting on the performance, Chairman and Managing Director Kuldip Singh Rathee said the quarter marked the company’s eighth consecutive period of strong growth since listing.
“We continue to outperform two-wheeler industry production growth and deliver record revenue, EBITDA, and PAT. Our focus remains on expanding value-added businesses, improving capacity utilisation, and driving cost efficiencies,” Rathee said.
ASK Automotive, which commands roughly 50% share of India’s OEM two-wheeler brake systems market, operates across three verticals — Advanced Braking Systems, Aluminium Lightweighting Precision Solutions, and Safety Control Cables.
